H 1060 ALINA handle by Valli&Valli received "Best Of the Year" award

The award ceremony took place on November 30 at the Jacob Javits Center's Iconic River Pavillon in New York, in the presence of over a thousand leading international figures in architecture and design, who gathered to celebrate the 13th edition of the contest.

The award went not only to Alina, but also to the partnership between two long-standing design firms: SOM – Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, which inspired the highly contemporary lines of the winning handle model, and Valli&Valli, a leading Italian manufacturer of designer handles. Valli&Valli’s R&D team partnered with the US firm to develop and implement the project. Heartfelt thanks goes from the company to the R&D Team for being able to combine Italian skills and style with the international creativity and outlook of a prestigious company such as the SOM firm, creating a handle that perfectly represents the Valli&Valli philosophy.

The H 1060 Alina handle was honoured in the Product – Hardware category, one of the 133 sections in the BEST OF THE YEAR AWARD - the most important design prize in the US - standing out with its strong personality from an impressive 586 finalists.
