John Pawson

John Pawson has spent more than 30 years making rigorously simple architecture, based on the qualities of proportion, light and materials.

Key examples of his work include Calvin Klein’s first flagship store in New York, the award-winning Sackler Crossing in Kew’s Royal Botanic Gardens andthe Cistercian monastery of Our Lady of Novy Dvur in Bohemia.

He has remodeled the interior of the iconic former Commonwealth Institute in London and a new permanent home for the Design Museum in 2014.
