About Valli

Founded by Pasquale Valli in Renate, Brianza, the Valli company grew around the ideas of its founder, who believed that a handle was not merely a simple piece of hardware but a sculpture with its own personality, similar to a small, domestic work of art.

It was Carlo Edoardo Valli who developed and refined his father's idea, inventing the concept of the design handle and launching, well ahead of the times and trends, a revolutionary collaboration with some of the best-known designers and architects of the time. And that is how production of the first design handles began: with the Fusital line.

This creative approach, paired with constant experimentation with new shapes and materials throughout the production process, took Valli into the industrial design sector, developing the company into the globally recognised brand that it is today.

In 2008, Valli joined the ASSA ABLOY group, emphasising its identity as an international brand with an Italian heart, roots, and soul.

The Valli principles are fully incorporated into its products: every single handle embodies the company vision because Valli is founded on solid, enduring values.

This is where Pasquale Valli opened his workshop and where the company grew to an international scale between the 1950s and 1960s, building the structures that still house production and management to this day.

The roots of Italian design stem from a truly unique context: born of the evolution of centuries-old wisdom, manual expertise, and extremely high manufacturing quality, and transferred into industrial design culture with excellent results. It is this same culture that Valli relies on when making its products, released under two different collections: Fusital and Lab.

Fusital, Valli's elite collection

Founded in 1976, when Carlo Edoardo Valli decided to launch a new brand, Fusital marked the company's entrance into the universe of design and creativity, immediately involving the most prestigious designers and architects on the international scene.

Gae Aulenti, Achille Castiglioni, Norman Foster, Renzo Piano, Antonio Citterio, and Bob Noorda—who was commissioned to design the new logo and corporate identity in 1984—are just some of the globally recognised names that have contributed to building the Fusital legend.
Today as yesterday, Fusital is Valli’s high-end collection and comprises the brand’s most prestigious handles, all defined by a bold style and strong aesthetic focus. The Fusital collection boasts handles designed by some of the leading personalities in contemporary design and architecture.

Lab, the brand’s experimental approach

The Lab collection is entirely conceived and designed in-house at Valli. Its name evokes the brand’s forward-looking operational model, constant ergonomic improvement, evolving techniques, and experimentation with new approaches and materials.

Handles from the Lab collection stand out for their extreme attention to detail, impeccable mechanics, and extraordinary executive quality. This is the result of constant improvement to the manufacturing process while never straying from the principles of form and function that define Italian industrial design culture.

The countless options for product customisation are a distinguishing feature of the Valli brand.

In an industrial production chain that uses advanced equipment and technologies, the company proudly relies on a significant portion of artisan expertise. The result of a comprehensive knowledge of the handle ecosystem, this sensitivity allows Valli to model, combine, and vary the silhouettes of industrial objects, while in constant dialogue with architects and customers to ensure their ideas and needs become reality.

This in turn leads to the creation of unique, limited-edition pieces with new and non-standard finishes, treatments, elements, or combinations, resulting in exclusive, tailor-made handles.
